Hedgerow Carbon Code
A draft code to let farmers sell carbon from new hedges or letting hedges grow bigger; it is not yet a working market and nobody currently buys hedgerow carbon under it.

Unclear: the Allerton Trust page says the work 'is currently on hold while further development opportunities and next steps are considered'. It was funded by a 2021 Defra NEIRF grant and planned trading via the Kana platform, but we found no launch or buyers in 2026. Hedges are paid for through SFI/Capital Grants instead.
