The second year of the SFS Universal Layer, claimed on the Single Application Form.

How much: 2027 rates not yet published; the Welsh Government says rates depend on the budget agreed each year by the Senedd.
Who can apply: Farm businesses meeting SFS eligibility (at least 3 ha of eligible land in Wales or over 550 standard labour hours). Farms that stayed in BPS in 2026 can still join.

Register with Rural Payments Wales (RPW) Online and get a Customer Reference Number (CRN)
Land registered with RPW

Submit the 2027 SAF during the spring window

The Optional and Collaborative overview (23 March 2026) says the SAF is available 'from March to 15 May annually'. No 2027 opening date, rates or rules booklet found on gov.wales as of 30 October 2026.
