About Farm Funding Finder

A free tool for farmers in England. Drop a pin on your farm and it finds every grant, payment, free help and carbon or nature credit buyer that fits your land, from the government, water companies, charities and companies, with application packs and forms filled in for you. It also lists the farm paperwork you need to keep on top of, with the dates.

What it is, and isn't

• It's guidance, written in plain English from GOV.UK and each scheme's own official pages. Every item links to the page it came from, and the schemes are checked every day.
• It's not the Rural Payments Agency, Defra, APHA, the Environment Agency, Natural England, the Forestry Commission, HMRC or GOV.UK, and has no connection with them.
• It doesn't send or file anything for you. You still do each form on the official service, and you're responsible for getting it right and on time.
• It's not legal, tax or financial advice. Rules change, and one farm can be different from another. If you're unsure, check the official page or ask the RPA, your vet, an agent or an accountant.
• It covers England. Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own rules and services.

Your privacy

There's no sign-up. What you tick about your farm, what you've ticked off as done and the numbers you save (like your SBI or CPH) stay in your browser on this device. They're never sent to us or anyone else. On a shared computer, use "Clear my numbers" when you've finished. We never ask for your Rural Payments, Government Gateway or HMRC login. If any site or email asks you to type it anywhere other than the official service, don't.

• Hosting: Cloudflare hosts the site and keeps standard technical logs (such as IP addresses) for security and to count visits.
• Local storage: the site uses your browser's local storage only to remember your answers and your light or dark choice.
• Calendar files: "Add to my calendar" makes the file on your device. Nothing is sent anywhere.
• Map checks: when you search, the point you pick is sent to the official map services listed at the foot of the page (Natural England, the Forestry Commission, the Environment Agency and others) and to postcodes.io, to find out what's there. Your name and farm numbers are never sent.
• Filled-in forms and packs: official forms come through our server so your browser can open them, then your details are added on your device. Your details never reach our server.
• Form Filler browser extension: if you install it, it copies the details you saved on this site into the extension's storage on your device. When you press "Fill this form" on a page, it types those details into that page's empty boxes. It doesn't collect, send or sell anything, doesn't read other pages, never ticks boxes, never touches passwords and never submits a form for you.

Where the information comes from

Every scheme and item was written from GOV.UK or the provider's own pages, and shows the date it was checked and links to its sources. The map checks use open data from Natural England, the Forestry Commission, the Environment Agency, the Rural Payments Agency, Historic England and Stream (Water UK). It's checked against GOV.UK regularly, but changes can take a few days to appear here. If anything here disagrees with GOV.UK or the service you're using, trust them.
